Default Can I run a bigger tire than stock?

I have a 04 Sierra with the Z71 deal so it has 17" wheels... can I run a bigger tire than stock on the stock wheels?

You can definately run bigger tires on the stock rim. I'm running 285/60/17 Yokohamas on pull off stock GMC 17" rims. They aren't taller just wider though.

What happened to your car?

Also, thats what Id like too.... a wider tire. The stockers look funny because theyre skinny. Also, it came with the Bridgestone A/Ts and they are DONE with only 23k on them. The backs are bald (NO abuse.. hell the truck wont even burn out ) and the fronts are all jacked up. The tread blocks are all raised and weird **** making one rough ride

Give me your password so I can see those pics.

I don't recommend the Yokohamas. They suck for traction except when they were brand new, got a few miles on them and well they went to hell..... Other than that they seem to be holding up ok tread wise.

the bridgestone dueler a/t f'in blow! i recently bought some Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO's and they are a night and day difference! 285/75/16 on some centerlines!
I took them off for the winter and when i mounted the stock wheels and tires i quickly relized how much i hated the stocks! to small and skinny!

Try the link again oops....

This is my sencond set of Bridgestones and Ill never have another set. The first were the M/Ts and they were great for the 18k they lasted The got so rough and loud you couldnt hear yourself think. I just thought my car was loud... the M/Ts wore the same way in the front with 1/2 the trad block sticking up causing a VERY rough ride
