Can an Digital AC Control unit be swaped for a manual equiped one?

Can an Digital AC Control unit be swaped for a manual equiped one?
2004 Silverado
The manual unit has a blue harness and grey harness.
The Electric AC control unit has the same blue harness but a diffrent grey harness.
When I plug in the blue harness the new electric unit lights up BUT I cant hook up the grey harness nor can i control the temperature or fan speed...
Is there a way to make the digital one work with an adapter or something? Can it be rewired??

Jerry did it on my old body style 07' that I bought here's what I had to do if you just have to have it I can help you and have all the goodies to program everything. Shoot me a pm with your phone number still need to run by and show you the sonoma some time.
