It came back...

I agree with Bigred, I had my steering shaft replaced a little over a year and it came back. I just bought the lube kit and within 20mins its feeling like new again.
Why spend almost $100 on a new shaft that is just going to clunk again vs $15 for the lube kit that takes care of it as well?

Lube yer little shaft and you'll feel better. Secure yer steering wheel w/ a bungie cord. Take it loose @ the bottom.15mm bolt by the d/s header on the steering shaft. pull down to extend the shaft. Insert lube. Install and tighten plug that comes in the kit. Use a long pry bar to push the shaft toward the firewall. I rest the tip of the pry bar on the header flange. After compressing the shaft enough to push the lube in the splines, remove the plug and reassemble. Replacing the shaft is no better than lubing it.

Newest bulliten came out Jan. this year. Stated DO NOT replace shaft, use new lube kit.
Allways remove shaft completely to lube it. Lubing in the vehicle will almost guarantee it to start back clunking.
