C-notch strip truck?
#1
Hey guys, I'm just building up an 02 single cab stepside truck with a mild 6.0. i will be around 500hp with the possibility of spray in the future and run some 315 wide slicks. It currently has 3" lowering leaf springs and I want to drop the rear a little more to level it out, currently a 4/3 drop (previous owner).
I'm looking at picking up the belltech c notch as I've read its the strongest. This truck will be a street/ strip truck and abused with slicks at the track and hauling the occasional engine or two. Will this c notch be strong enough, or is there a chance to twist and tweak some things with hard launches?
I've done some googling and the only answers I've seen are step notch the race truck or slammed with a c notch but not abused at the track so any input is appreciated. Thank you guys in advance!

My truck lives on 325 drag radials, makes over 600whp, goes to the track very frequently, and gets about 5k miles a year put on it. I’ve had a bolted in c notch in the truck for 5+ years. No issues at all. Just check the hardware frequently. Not that it adds any strength but I have a small section of plate welded behind the notch/frame for where my upper shock
Mount bar is welded to
You would be fine on your setup, but I don’t see 500hp to the tire NA on mild 6.0 build
