Default A/c not working at idle

My A/C blows cold at idle. Cools fine when any amount of throttle is given. Compressor kicks on real quick then disengages quickly after. My idle is set at 750 and if i idle it to 900 it blows cold, whats the deal?

Sounds like its low on charge. My Truck was just a tad bit low on Freon and it would click on and off like crazy at idle... making the idle erratic.

sounds like its your pressure switch to me. when it starts to "short cycle' at idle what are your pressures doing before the compressor kicks off?

How many miles are on the truck? Mine has the original clutch fan on it and when at idle when cold the A/C doesn't work too well. If its not low on charge that's what I would look into next

With out knowing the pressures and the out side temp its hard to say specifically whats wrong.

I found this handy chart that gives you pressures and what to look for. If you can read the pressures on the high an low with the system running this may help you.
