Can someone point me towards a pic that shows how much i can remove from the dash without dropping the steering. I started sawzallin on the pass side to open up to remove the heater core. Felt awesome destroying it. But getting closer to the 4000 mark

Wow you are really going all out. Why not just unbolt the dash and remove most of it entirely?

I did already. I think i've sold enough parts to almost pay for the truck now. But keeping the driver power window. If i find a manual door cheap i'll switch.

When my $'s right been in & out of hospital & doctors. I'll buy racing seat, steering wheel, cage, fan harness.
I researched the u hose i need for the heater core removal.
& thinking of have small crossmembers made during cage install.
Remember i still have spare tire winch & tow hitch. Still a truck.

Just read about colorado front spares. Now will that be lighter than my stock aluminum 16's w the skinniest tires on can fit on them or will the 16x4 w runners be better.
Anyone run the spare wheels on the street?

Not anytime soon. Stuck with bunch of out of pocket medical bills.
Latest update is i recieved a free racing seat last night. Not aluminum tho. But if it lighter i'm keeping.
I need to research electric water pumps see if theres a big block pump that cheap & streetable & use the adapters. The ls pumps are expensive & not as common. I think gears & weight reduction, along w things like the fans & electric pump could really wake it up. Might be fun enough to not have to get into the nitrous because i def dont have cash to pay someone to tune in a nitrous controller.
Also have to research the electric fan harness cuz cant afford that now. So might as well find one at the pick & pull. The newer 1's aint showing up yet. Lots of 99-02's tho

Just bought the last truck i will ever need. As long as its away from winter. Its from down south, still has stickers on frame & rear end. A very rare sight this far north.
