Can you? Yes. However, the best budget upgrade for the truck in your dig would be simpler going to the newer larger front brakes. It's a simple and affordable upgrade. You go from 11" to 13" rotors.

 

What all is involved in the upgrade you speak of. Maybe I was looking into what I was trying to do all wrong.

I definatly want to get a extra set of calipers to have powder-coated cause with my new wheels my old ones are ugly!!!!!

 

You get the 13" rotors and loaded calipers from an '05 truck which come with brake pads and the mounting bracket for the 13" rotors. That's the year they went to drum brakes on the rear and larger discs up front.

If you have rear disc like my '00 rcsb has you can do the Tahoe dual piston calipers for the rear. There's a sticky I believe. I'll look and link it to this reply.

I thought that was what I was doing with the links I had posted above. Maybe I was looking at it all wrong. My truck has Disc brakes in the rear also. I had searched and read the thread you mentioned. Guess I screwed up what I was thinking about doing lol.

 

so since I have an 06 rcsb my truck should have the 13" rotors? have you seen the ssbc kit that uses 14" rotor? my only concern was it uses a stock caliper which I don't see if there isn't added contact how does that help?
