good luck..... I just called the dealer near me and they said that my truck didn't apply.... Everything I have fits that description to a tee and my cables have been broken for months. What a bunch of crap out of 4 million trucks mine doesn't apply.

Maybe its because you called them, is real easy to brush someone off on the phone. Im making a trip down to the dealer cause mine hasnt broken and its a 2000 so its just a matter of time.

Just in the last 3 months I sold 15 sets and just about every person complained that the only lasted a year or two.

I have a 2001 and havnt had any problems but when I started hearing about these things breaking, I didnt stand on the tail gate any more. I try not to put any wieght on it, maybe thats why I havnt had a problem yet, but I would like to get them changed out to what ever they upgrade them too.

Same here. I haven't had any problems with mine but I still would like them changed.

Both of mine broke, but that was when I rolled a smallblock motor off the back because I didn't need it anymore. I stole one off of the rental truck I had, along with the good floormats
