Default Broken Manifold Bolt, Wait Until Rebuild?

Currently installing cal-speed lt's on my 06 vmax. The truck currently has 172,xxx miles on it, so it is a fairly high mileage engine. Upon installing, I noticed the back head on bolt on driver side manifold was snapped off. I've been reading about using the weld method and drill bits, etc. Should I just bolt up my headers and see if they leak and if they do leak a bit, deal with it until rebuild? Just wanting to get some opinions here. Thanks guys.

I'd weld a nut to it and take it out but I hate the sound of exhaust leaks.

The bolt is broken below the surface of the head?

Yeah basically right below surface of head. We'll see if it leaks or not and then determine what to do.

Well just running the exhaust just out of a bullet, so hard to tell if it's leaking due to so much damn noise. I'll be backing it with an 18" magnaflow later this week so hopefully it quiets it down significantly.

I have the exact same problem, and it leaks badly when cold, but seals when warmed up. Need to get it fixed!

My friend's truck has the same bolt broken below the surface and it does leak. Luckily he doesn't care too much at this moment, so i don't have to worry about getting it out.

I figure I'll just make the excuse that some 243 heads are in order

I used the welder to build it up and the welded a short bolt to it and backed it out. Ive done that on 3 motors so far. It sucks.
