Its a 95 single cab sliverado, and it's new problem is when I apply the brakes there is a loud hissing noise coming from right above the pedal. I can only imagine it is connected with the brake booster but not sure.

 

sounds like a bad booster to me, engine vacuum leaking past diaphragm.
