Was gonna say, this happens quite a bit on GMT400's now that they have some age on them. The flex hoses go bad internally and restrict flow, they can cause a caliper to lock up and fail to release, or just be "grabby."

Haven't seen whether this happens on GMT800's but I don't see why it wouldn't. The hoses are inexpensive, and easy to replace. Only hassle is bleeding the system once you get it done, especially since you have 4WAL to deal with on any GM pickup from 1995-up.

Lines or hoses??? Brake line kit from gm is something like $93 list price, heard too many horror stories of the braided stainless hoses bursting.... Have seen the powerstop (or what ever theyre called) kits that rockauto sells theyre nice quality pieces.... Can look up some aftermarket part numbers sunday if noone else chimes in by then

If you just replace the calipers its not that bad, you can block hoses off and lose minimal amount if fluid, its replacing hard lines that become a monotonous pain.... Bleed basic system, bleed module, repeat until pedal is normal, i have had trucks i had to bleed module three times to get the pedal right

I'm not to worried about the bleeding process. I've done brakes 10+ times on various of my own and friends vehicles. I havent ever done a good before and after brake test tho so that is somthing I hopefully remember to do and document!

Not really before/after test persay so much as if you lose enough fluid its pain getting all he air out and getting the pedal back up because of theebcm needing to be bled with a scanner

Automated bleed to get air out of the abs module... Amazing how much air that little box will trap!!!

X2^ what he said just gonna pump and repeat until they are nice and firm.

As for test I just want to see how bad they are right now vs how good they will be after new stuff.
