That's kinda what I think but the current setup is done. We already ordered the new stuff and work will start on the stage3 heads here pretty quick. I'm ordering the BOV and new boost controller also. The 4L80E will be ordered along with the new PI converter so it's kind of a done deal. Just had to figure out what truck to put it in.

This is going to be fun.

And the widest tires you can find. You may never get it hooked on the street, but it sure could be fun "testing"

That's what i was thinking Erik. I think that's about the only way I can elimate wheel hop and that would allow me to play with pionion angle and such wouldn't it? For preloading?

I am kind of sick of the T/A. It's nice and all but I really like my big truck and once it's finished with all the new upgrades I wont be driving it much. Soooo I am thinking of selling the T/A and picking up my Ex's 03' GMC SCSB.

I would put all the big mods from the 4x4 onto the 2wd and return the big truck to stockish for daily driving. I figure that could drop about 1000lbs of raceweight!

I then would have a very clean truck for showing and for racing as mid 10s or better would be totally doable.

What do you guys think?
sure, take the easy way to a quicker ET

well that's what I thought, but CalTrac's can do all of those things.

One upside to a 4 link is the ability to have a better spring rate for drag... but then again.. you won't be able to ever haul anything in your truck if it's dropped and has a 4-link/coilovers. leaving the leafs on will keep alot of the truck's factory integrity as far as the suspension goes.

I think i'm sticking to Caltracs for that reason.... it's still a Truck afterall.

don't speak too soon... you don't even HAVE the truck yet.... as far as i'm concerned you are still a step behind the game
and BTW-- if you need some nice wheels for the truck when you get it, I have a set in mind for you...

Chris, I'm not as far behind as you think. Remember I am the one with the 4L80E, built 370ci motor, fuel system, boost controller, nitrous, etc etc.. All I have to do is find a new truck to put it in.

I think the EX is changing her mind so I am looking for other trucks now. I found Carsdirect.com and they have killer prices so I printed up some stuff and may just have my girlfriend haggle me down a brand new truck. She bought her Grand Cherokee that way and saved a ton. Looks like I can get an 05' RCSB the way I want it with a 4.8L and G80 for 21,500 before any rebates. Most of the used ones in my area are $16k-$23k
