BFGoodrich vs Bridgestone vs Nitto
#1
I'm in a dillema here. What size and brand tire do I go with. I'm looking at the following tires.

The truck is a 99 Silverado extended cab. It has the stock rims, so nothing terribly bling yet but maybe something better will show up this summer. I do a LOT of driving with the truck (over 2000 miles a month) and I tow my Trans Am to lots of races with it. I'm interested in a tire that will have some high mileage wear to it and be fairly quiet on the road (I drive the Trans Am for noise, so I don't want super swamper like road noise in the truck). I really narrowed my choices down to at least the Bridgestone or BFG's. I like the look of the Nitto but know nothing about it. The Bridgestones and BFG's seem to have high marks on Tirerack.com.
I'm debating about keeping the stock sized 265 / 75 R16's or going to 285 / 70 R16's. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

I have the BF Goodrich KO's. I went from 245 to a 285 and they are mint!!! I've got about 20000 miles on them and they still look brand new. The aggressive sidewall makes the truck look nasty!! With all this it still rides like a dream, no road noise at all. I live in New York and it snowed a ton here and these tires are unstoppable!! get em!!!

I've got the Nittos 265 E-range and have put ~18,000 miles on them. At first I absolutely hated them, they had a really flexible sidewall. After a few thousand miles they stiffened up some, and a few thousand more miles they were fine. I have not ever rotated them and it shows...the rears have 25% more wear than the fronts. The fronts look good. I need to rotate them soon though.
They are a smooth, quiet tire. My brother bought BFG AT's for his '99 around the same time as I bought the Nittos for mine. Everytime I drive his truck I instantly notice how much louder the tires are and when driving at slower speeds I can kinda feel the tread of the tire hitting the pavement.
Would I buy Nittos again? Maybe. Will probably give Bridgestones a shot next.
