i've had all the services cept verizon and at&t, and the best one by far imo is nextel, my current provider. reception is good prices are pretty good too, little bit more because of the walkie talkie but it's worth it. plus depending on who you work for, you might be able to get a corporate discount. i forgot what they were but i get something like 30% off handsets, 30% off accessories, and 26% of rateplans...check in to it. the phone i got has GPS on it, so that's kinda fun to play with if you have it web enabled. for extra kicks it can also play "mp3's" for ringtones. oh and pm me if you are intersted in something else for nextel phones, like games, ringtones, and wallpapers. i know a website that'll get you all you need for $5, i just did it for my phone.

My sister works for Nextel so guess what I have. I can't complain because we are on a family plan and thats the only way I can afford a cell. I have a i95 and it's great. I had a i1000 and it worked great to. Nextel's coverage may not be as good as others but you can't beat the two way.

I've used Verizon for the past 4 years and never had any problems with them overcharging me or gouging me on prices. Don't use AT&T, they have screwed both my dad and a friend of mine.

I've got my old "pea soup" displayed (think Gameboy from 1989!) Nokia I got back in 2000 I think when VOICESTREAM was still around! I'm pleased with the provider and my phone is like the Timex "takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' " I won't toss it until it brakes.

I had a StarTac phone back in the late 90s when they were . Sprint sucked to me so I went to Voicestream after that. Flip phones seem able to break to easily, color screen is cool, but distracting, and that lil camera is good for T&A shots...

I have a nextel brick for work that i despise, i don't like direct connect and the call quality doesn't seem to be very good.

For my personal phone, i have a nokia 8290 that is about 3 years old and it has great reception, great battery life, its tiny, and it isnt a stupid cheap flip phone that is going to break. I use cingular for my service on this phone and its awesome, $40 a month with i believe 600 anytime, 5000 nights and weekends and it has rollover, so in actuality, i have something like 3000 anytime minutes saved up and I can switch to cingular nation anytime for no roaming but 100 fewer anytime minutes per month, but my rollover minutes are still valid, so i'd never go over.

Never had a billing issue with cingular either, always been accurate.

Another vote for the Sanyo SCP 5500. All the features it has kicks ***. I've heard stories about Sprint, but so far, no problems. Going on 5 months of service. I had Verizon for about 2 years with no complaints. I just didn't like the cheap *** phones they had. They are recently just starting to pick that up.
