Default Bent rim Questions

Ive got a bent rim I know you can take them and get them fixed but is it safe I dont want to buy another too expensive, my dad is saying that its not safe at all even when they are fixed, my problem is I tried to fix myself with a bfh and a block of wood got most of it out but started a crack on the rim only on the bead line. sorry to make it long just asking have any you guys fix a bent rim and still drive with it daily.

if yours is starting to crack on the bead line, i think the only problem you'll have is a leak.
i've never fixed a rim before though... just used that as an excuse to get new ones
