Exclamation battery?

for about a year now, every now and then my battery light would come on and off while i was driving, but the charge wouldn't seem to be dropped out at all, it'd stick around 14. Then tonight i was driving around and the light stayed on and the battery stuck around 9. the alternator has been changed twice in the last year as well so i'm pretty sure it's not that. I also thought i might have heard a belt squeal as well. any ideas?

right after i got it it wasn't holding a charge, dealer changed changed it. then i went outta town last year, my biz partner at the time for my plowing co. kept getting shined by the battery light and got it swapped while i was gone. but it seems like i have a bad ground or something, the odometer never shows unless it hits a bump in the road just right it seems. and i can't hook up an OBD II either. frustrating ****.,

I second that thought.....as far as the odometer not working and possibly the amp gauge.
check your cig fuse in the underhood fuse block and you should be able to "hook up " to the OBDII port. That fuse runs your cig lighter and also powers the OBDII port. I'd also check to see if your battery cables are tight and clean at the battery, I always start there when diagnosing an electrical complaint.

I'm not entirely sure right now. I'm in a shitty position where i can't do anything about it for a little bit. i'm pretty sure that I lost a cylinder, and i don't know what broke. By broke, on the passenger side of the motor i can hear what sounds like light metal bouncing around. a valve maybe? i don't really know. I've been gone for work for the better part of a month, prior to my leaving, my buddy borrowed the truck and got the oil changed at a pennzoil or something. while i was gone the truck just sat and waited for me. this morning, there was no life in the battery when i went to start it. put the charger on it, fired it up, "clank ---clankclankclank--clank-". not a good sound. i gotta go outta town tomorrow for work and won't be back again until the 18th, so fixin it is gonna be interesting. I'm workin on a plan....
