I have a few questions to ask. I was apart 5.3 engine out like piston with rod and crank. Now I am try to have all back together. Able reuse current bearings? since the ole bearings looks good. Its 88,000 miles on it. If I want put new main and rod bearing do we have to polish crank and something need to be done before I able put all it back on. Want replace new piston rings. What gap needs to be clearance. Try to get it done and sell it. Because machine shop cost too expensive for doing forged 5.3 not worth it. Ill look around buy ls1 longblock much cheaper.
