Avalanche 2500 8.1L ??

Default Avalanche 2500 8.1L ??

So I was at the dealership and shootin the **** with one of the sales guys to see how well he knew the trucks. I wasn't too inmpessed, he didn't seem like he was too knowlagable, but then he drops this bomb on me about this Avalanche 2500 with the 8.1?? WTF......
Anyone herd of this noncence?

I haven't heard anything about that nonsense. Never been the biggest fan off the Avalanches, to much plastic. Now they have the 1/2 ton crew I don't see why they need it.

Yeah, they make a 2500 with the 8.1L, lots of torque, and it is very thirsty. Problem is (IMO), they only come with cladding. I prefer my Avalanches with a little less *ahem* clothing.

Yeah the wheelwell that has the plastic covering part of it looks kind of.......
And too much unpainted plastic!

Hmm......
a reg cab short bed with the 8.1 ......... be intresting none the less.

Yeah, I'm not too big a fan of the Avy's with all the cladding, but I do love my 2004 Half Ton Crew.

Yup, they definitely exist, and are pretty popular here in MA. They're just 8.1 'burbans.

The little "eyebrows" on the wheel-wells can be easily removed.

I have a white 02 Avalanche 2500 with an 8.1L (496 cubes-oh yeah!!) and it will pull a house down. Mine is even 2wd but I think the 8.1 is only available in 4wd now.

when i first saw this post i came to the conclusion that this is just a case of the salesman knowing more than you think you do. 2500 avys have been out since 02, not tryin to be an *** though
