if you hit the overhead light button 4 times in a row it will turn it off. or you can barely push the e brake peddle in just a little and that will keep it off. the overhead light button will have to be done everytime the truck is shut down then restarted. ncbc gulfport don't even care anymore when you come up to the gates with lights on.

Goshawk is correct. R&D makes a turn off switch that you don't have to keep doing over and over. Here is website where you can get one.

Oh man...I know what you mean. I was visiting a friend out at Lemoore Naval Air Station and he forgot to "give the signal" when coming back on base......you know, it gets crowded in the SP van on a Saturday night.

you have to have just your parking lights on as a signal on a military installment?

when you approach the gate (guard shack) you are required to turn your headlights off and leave just the parking lamps on. What this is for, is so the guards (security) can see you and not be blinded by the light. Normally they don't have a problem with daytime running lights. but auto headlights do give them fits.

Does anyone know if you can adjust the auto-headlamp sensor or whatever it is so that they will come on when its darker than what its set at?
My headlamps will turn on when its still light out. I have to drive around until I get into a good amount of light before it turns off.
No biggie, just wondering...

One thing I like about my '03, I can turn the headlight **** to the left and the lights will cut off and will not come back on until I turn it back to the auto setting.
