By the suggestions from 99SilveradoSS we're going to get something going on Saturday October 16th at Hallsvile Dragway.

You guys tell me what you want to do and I'll get it set up. If you want to get a bracket race going on, we can do that. We will obviously have some grudge matches going on since it will be a Chevy vs Dodge thing.

This thing is open to all of ya'll. Travel time from Dallas would be about 2-3 hours depending on where you live and traffic (I've made it from Dallas to Hallsville in about an hour and a half though). Shreveport, it's about an hour from the heart of Shreveport or Bossier. Not sure how long it would take to get there from Houston.

To get to the track you would take exit 604 (Hwy 450) north off of I-20. You will pass the high school and come to a light. Go straight through the light, and about 2 miles down you will come to the track on the right. You will probably pass it the first time because it's on a blind curve, but you can't miss it.

Here's a map of the track. The star is on the road just passed the track, but it will get you there.

I am going to try and make it there(no telling what will be going on at work), its a long drive for me, but I need a road trip and meet some of you fine chevy guys with your pretty trucks.

Do ya'll wanna get a bracket race together or just leave it grudge? They said they will do it for either money with an entry fee or just for a trophy and bragging rights. I don't want to get any payout details setup until we can tell them how many of us will be in the bracket race.

Any of you guys know any Dodge guys to get to come. Looks like they are gonna need some support.

 

I'd like to leave it a grudge/bragging rights. I'm really just hoping to cut a new best of around 14.5-14.6, after I get my 3.90s/Eaton installed.

Oh yeah, and whoop up on some modded rcsb Hemis!

 

How would a grudge match work with money/trophy?

I'll be interested in heads up only. I've got a new set up I haven't tried yet and I'm gonna be runnin my little 5.3 on the ragged edge in search of an 11 second ticket. Not sure that's gonna happen but If I can make 3 passes and drive it home ...................well, not sure that's gonna happen either but I've got a buddy in East Texas w/ a trailer just in case.
