I want to make sure if I understand from arp instruction since I have arp-ultra-torque-assembly-lubricants and thread sealer. So do first sealer in block from thread studs? Then mount heads on and use torq assembly lube on the washer and nuts on the studs? This is my first time own the arps. I am start apart heads this Saturday. Can't wait. Thank for help out

 

NO thread sealer.

Install the studs hand tight into the block DRY.

Use the ARP assembly lube on the threads/washers/nuts when torqing to spec

 

Why no sealer? Arp thread sealer came with.

 

Thread sealer is only used when the bolt holes protrude into the water jacket. They don't in the LS motors, so there is nothing to seal, no reason it use it.

 

Oh I didn't know that. Old school motors I always do. But ls motors no need. Thank you. Start apart today. Can't wait.
