Default Anything complicated about replacing a Power Steering Pump?

I think my PSP shaft just broke. It steers just fine, just no power assist in either direction. Fluid is full. I think my 305/50/20s might have something to do with it. I've never delved into that area of the truck...is there anything I need to know before I start unbolting and unplugging? Any help is appreciated.

You have to have a PS pump pulley puller. The pulley has to come off before you remove it.

Yep, I'm good there. Got a 'borrowed' universal puller from AutoZone. Forgot I had it and I think 7 years is the statute of limitations on returning 'borrowed' tools, correct?

Be sure and pay attention to where the pulley is on the shaft before you take it off. Then put it back in exactly the same place after you swap out the pump or you will have belt problems. Other than that, it is just a remove and replace project.

Follow the instructions with the pump to burp the air out of the line after you fill it. Piece of cake.

do your self a favor and go borrow a ps pully puller. you will not damage the pully that way. after you install it jack the front up and turn the wheels lock to lock with the truck off to bleed the air out. start the truck and turn lock to lock. then turn it off and check the fluid.
