Default Anyone still running a PVC 4in intake setup?

Thinking about building a 4" intake in the next couple days and I was wondering if anyone is still using PVC pipe? If you are, can you post pics of your set up. I don't know if I should run the filter to the stock location or down behind the SS bumper to pick up clean air. Thanks guys

Did a pvc setup for a buddys truck one time.. worked great and it was cheap.
Just 90* it down at the stock location and let it pull air from down there.

Are you saying to keep it in the stock location or drop it down behind the headlights?

There are some cheap CAI's on ebay, I think I got mine for like $50. Same exact design as a Spectre. Had to modify it a tiny bit but it works great and looks good.

Take it to the stock location and 90* it straight down behind the blinker.

I bought PVC pipe for my 4" intake, but didn't use it. The I.D. was 4", and the O.D. was 4.5". So it wouldn't work with my 4" elbows that I bought. I ended up using some scrap aluminized exhaust pipe that I had laying around instead.

ran into the same problem when i went to build mine. Ended up finding a 4" PVC that was very thin wall and able to work for me.

Obviously not using it anymore but it got the job done when I was NA. All it needed was a shot of black paint.

I'd think the aluminum wouldn't be good for the vegas heat. Underhood temps get crazy here. Any heatsoak issues from you aluminum guys?
