Anyone have or know anything about the Chevy Trailblazers?

I am thinking about getting a new Chevy Trailblazer and I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this vehicle? Anything bad to report about the 4200 6-cylinder that is used in the 2-door? How are they for towing?
Thanks.

I saw on some handout that their in-line 6 is stronger than any V8 of it's class.
Chevy's new all-aluminum, 4.2-liter, straight-six engine. We thought that its 270 horsepower was plenty for nearly every condition we encountered. And even with only six cylinders, the TrailBlazer engine actually produces 35 more horsepower than the largest V8 you can get in the Explorer.

I own one and my wife and i love it! It tows my Nova with trailer no problem at all. It gets decent mileage and its the first SUV i have seen that didnt get choppy tire wear after 15,000+ miles! Ours has over 23,000 with not one problem or repair, only oil changes. It looks better than most SUV's in my opinion also, except for Tahoes of coarse. Variable valve timing is trick on these also! I say go for it!

Damn, LS1derful you have got the 2 vehicles I want. The Trailblazer and shoebox style Nova that hauls A?@ !! The only down side to me getting the truck is that the TA has to go. I am getting married in October and trying to buy a house. I agree that the Trailblazers are nice looking trucks.

They are releasing an SS version of the Trailblazer as a 2004 model that will be all wheel drive and rate at 345 hp. You may want to wait for that model to come out.

I think the 5.3 will be available soon, might want to look into that.
My roommate is considering replacing his Explorer with a new one. I told him to check out the Trailblazer first.

GM has mentioned about a 6 litre in the Trailblazer and the full size SS pickup in 04-05 possibly. YES a 6 litre, they already got it to fit and run LOL
