Default Anyone ever have their crank pulley fly off?

I had to go to the stealership to sign something where I traded my truck in and asked about my old truck. It was on 01 Z-71 with a Radix on it. Anyway, he said they let some teenager take it out by himself for a test drive (i'm sure the truck had well over 400 hp/ft-lbs. at the crank), which I thought was pretty stupid. He somehow managed to get the crank pulley to fly off and also somehow broke the supercharger. They had to send the supercharger back to Magnusson and replace the crank pulley and ended up taking a loss selling the truck at auction. I know several of you have trucks with the same and more hp and run these things over 100 mph repeatedly and i've never once read of a crank pulley coming off. I never any had any signs of problems when I drove this truck (no vibrations or anything like that and boost was normal). Anyone else ever hear of this on these trucks?

I have seen it happen on an f body but it was because he had changed the cam and didnt put a new crank bolt in when he put the crank pulley back on.

Those crank bolts are TTY and should be replaced. Cheap insurance IMO.

Would the crank pulley coming off have something to do with messing up the blower or vice versa?? I don't know exactly what went wrong with the blower, but they told me they had to ship it out there to ya in Cali for repair.
