For those who don't know, some on that list have been banned from other sites long ago for the same crap.

Just to let y'all know what was said, I basically agreed with John's points about being decent on this site - no biggie, I just should've had a little more reserve, that's all. Thanks XLR8NSS.

If I want to read the bull on this site, then I make my way into the racers lounge. Other than that, this is a great technical site and I can understand why the owner wants to keep it that way. I get so tired of reading posts in here that start out on a good subject and then make their way into a clown session. I agree with the owners 100% on all of this. If you dont offer anything technical to this site, then you should find some other kind of site that fits your hobby more.

I come here to learn, read, rarely ask any questions. However, I see no point in this post? It seems like a bad way to do buisness to me, and I often see this here and not on other sites i go to... Not sure why, i realize the mods and admins have to keep things inline but who is going to take personal offense to a little joking etc? There seems to be a huge power struggle here that happens on ever site from time to time, but it is ever present in these truck forums... I do get the sense from the admins that the truck forums are here merely out of the kindness of their heart not because we "belong"... I guess i just dont see the point in calling out the problems that are being had with some members infront of the entire site and entire truck community....

No thank you please.

I don't believe I ate the whole thing.

A little respect goes a long way.

Thanks to Tony and the Mods here.

If you fail to address the fact that certain mods and their behavior are an integral part of the problem, then you will continue to have the problem. Specifically, I'm talking about mods who engage in questionable dialogues and behavior with members (therefore condoning it, furthering it, and creating a culture where it is allowed), and then when the line gets crossed, they all of a sudden become mods again.

If you cannot see this behavior as instigating and perpetuating the problem, and if you continue to fail to address it, then you will continue to have the problems you are complaining about.

That is all. On with your regularly scheduled programming.
Naked, This is the 3rd post I've seen of you saying something about the mods. I've seen 2 immediatly following from Greg asking for specifics via PM. If you're not going to pursue this, then drop it. As mods. we've been through this before with another member. They had some problems they brought up, but would never show proof, so after so long, the complaints from that user were ignored.

Put bluntly ... put up, or shut up.

Here food for thought, all the other mods are complaining about hearing the truck guys complain about certain memers in the admin lounge. It's embarrising when they start asking why is it the truck section is always causing trouble and being the babies. They hear the stories of the offending users, and assume it's the whole group. Imagine what outsiders think.

I never once said "everyone" in that thread. If you aren't causing the problems, it simply shouldn't have offended you.

All points taken, thanks. Naked Av, please PM me whenever you feel a moderator is not representing this site well. We can handle that internally, but not unless people notify us about it.
I appreciate your willingness to reassess the tone of your initial post. I think everyone likes it here, me included, and wants the good stuff of LS1 Tech to continue, without that other stuff that isn't helpful.

As far as future issues, I will certainly PM you, but I can't guarantee I will see them when they happen, because I don't go to all of the Truck sections all of the time. I will tell you that it is pretty obvious when a mod jumps into the trenches with a member and starts dancing around the line of appropriate behavior. I've seen it on more than one occasion, and I know that most if not all of the other mods see it, because some of them joke about whether or not they should stop joking around or not.

This is the type of situation that encourages certain risk-seeking people to start testing boundaries (typified by the names on your 'list'). Problem is, at this point things have already gone too far, and certain mods, because of their participation, have facilitated this breach in behavior. Once they put their mod hats back on to clamp down on the 'troublemakers', it seems harsh, and to me it is understandable why some people think so. When parents act like children for a while, then all of a sudden turn around and punish the children for acting like children, well.....at this point it really is the parents' fault.

As far as some of the other requests, I am not going to weed through hundreds of threads to pick out the ones that I think are appropriate or not just to please one moderator. That's not my job, it's yours. You probably already have an idea of who the offending parties are anyway. Nor am I going to name names, send PM's, or respond to the hostile and aggressive PM's I've already received from certain people. If I do send any PM's about this issue in the future, they will be to Tony, and Tony alone.

Now, gentlemen, let's get back to the business of LS1 Tech'ing.
