I think he(naked AV) and some others like myself just got a little worked up about the "We, as staff members and owners of this site, are SICK of all the childish crap that goes on in these truck forums." comment. Like it only goes on in the truck forums which isnt true. Again it is read like the truck section is a hassle and we are all young punks. You are the man and you can do what the hell you want and thats how it is but I dont think any of this thread would have gotten off track if it would of said something like "There are a few members and you know who you are that are being childish and if you keep it up you will be band for 30 days like Chingon,Illnalli,etc..." Thats just how I saw it. Like I said earlier Im greatful for eveyone on this site and the site itself but because a few members are breaking the rules doesnt mean the truck section as a whole does the same.

 

Definately not the whole truck section. Nine Ball even pointed that out back in post #9 of this thread.

 

I'm going to say one more thing and then be on my way.

If you fail to address the fact that certain mods and their behavior are an integral part of the problem, then you will continue to have the problem. Specifically, I'm talking about mods who engage in questionable dialogues and behavior with members (therefore condoning it, furthering it, and creating a culture where it is allowed), and then when the line gets crossed, they all of a sudden become mods again.

If you cannot see this behavior as instigating and perpetuating the problem, and if you continue to fail to address it, then you will continue to have the problems you are complaining about.

wow i just read every post in here. i didnt even know most of them were even banned. i think most take this stuff to seriously. i thought this was an opinionated site and that is why we come here. to get opinions and advice on modding trucks and NOT TAUNTING ANYONE> i mean who likes to be called gay or a dumbshit for a question or a post. nobody. words typed in on a ketboard do not have feelings except when it becomes personal. just my 2$

even though this Thread doesn't concern me, which i had no way of knowing unless i read it. here is my 2 cents:

i have also noticed A LOT of changes in this site, changes that have made me look for other Forums (GMFULLSIZE, LS1TRUCK) to spend my free time.

nineball, i love this site and i have learned A lot from it. but i think the wording of this thread is what got everyone upset.

maybe something that would pertain to the people on the LS1Tech "**** LIST", would have been better.

something like "Chingon, ILLNALI, Faze, LM7, goldenvalvet, (and who ever else that is on the "**** LIST") please come in"

now im done this thread has nothing to do with me.

 

Yeah I realized what you meant , it shoulda been in the first post but, I'm sure there was alot of stuff running through Tony's head at the time. It is out there though and I hope that anyone who reads the first post(and is offended/mad) continues to read the rest of the thread. When they come to that little statement that it is only a select few I'd hope they would let any negative feelings about the first post go.

Naked - PM Greg or me about what you're talking about. The only way things can change is if you or whoever lets us know. If you think something is causing a problem PM one of us. It has been said before that if someone has a problem with another member or mod to PM a different mod or an Admin. Please just PM me. I have only had one complaint about a mod(non truck mod) and I let the person know who to contact. Don't know what happened with it but, I helped as much as I could. I will do the same for you if you let me.

I know there is still some messing around every once in a while and even some of us mods mess around every once in a while. That is no reason for some people to try and get by with questionable pictures or questionable actions(that they already know cause problems) or cry about it when the thread is locked/edited/moved.

Okay, I've edited the first post a bit to target a specific group of people here. I'm not so sure why some of you guys felt it was a broad range message for everyone, especially since I listed a few banned names and also stated in the first paragraph that it was about members that continued to cause our staff or other members problems. I never once said "everyone" in that thread. If you aren't causing the problems, it simply shouldn't have offended you.

Geez, what a friggin' DRAMA!!! I'm obviously new here, but learned of the site from one of the admins. I sit next to him on a daily basis and listen to him rant about the childish **** that goes on in here - and am now seeing it first-hand. My suggestion to anyone with a complaint: PM a mod or admin. If that doesn't get you the satisfaction you think you require,

See, now I'm frustrated 'cuz there are people in here that are the typical 'welfare' type. We all know 'em, they're the ones that get the free hand-outs and think they deserve more. Man I hate those types. Tony, you were totally correct when you said "If you don't like it....". My .02 says that if I didn't like the site, I'd create one of my own - isn't that how LS1TECH originated?!?!? It is now the largest resource of LS1 information on the 'net, and people have to bash it and make demands. GRRRRRRRRRRRR, now I'm pissed for ya.....
