I did hear about a NNBS Silvy was at SEMA few years ago with a small block 427 and i hear the sound clip and it sounded awesome! I mean Chevy doesn't have to put the 427 in it, but it would be nice to see some higher HP and Torque numbers from the 6.2L from the factory with using some after market parts, like different heads w/cam and or supercharging! Just didnt know if anyone hear anything about this or even if Ford or Dodge coming out with anything new!
That video clip floating around on the web is mine from the 2007 power tour in Battlecreek, Michigan. The guy from GM told me when I asked when they were going to build this and when could I get one, he laughed and said it will never be a production truck from GM like the concept, and the reason it was made was for us enthusiast (sp.) to get ideas on what possibilities we could have by buying a standard cab shortbed 2wd pickup. I have seen a few other people that have replicated the body style, but nothing like the 427 SS Concept. I would build one if someone wanted to donate the truck and the motor!

On a side note - I asked the guy if i could sit in it, and the guy was cool enough to let that happen; cool as s^it... Ill dig up the picture, i think its on my other laptop

While I have not read or seen anywhere that they will be offering an SS for the next generation Silverado/Sierra I would have to think it is at least being considered! In the time being I would look at some of the 6.2 equipped trucks! In my opinion it is the baddest production pickup GM has produced besides the Syclone!
