Many a speeding ticket in my younger days. 1 racing ticket- that was a pain. 4 court dates, blah blah blah, cop never showed(just like he said he wouldnt- ended up being a cool guy after we talked) got it knocked down to speeding. The prosecutor was going to drah it on for 6 months which was the limit at the time, I had just started a new job and couldnt keep taking time off.
Dont get tickets now a days, professional courtesy towards fireman. As long as you arent being a complete ***.

Here in TX it's no longer a ticket offence. You go to jail and you vehicle impounded.

Yeah, when I got mine (about 10 years ago) I had to post bond and go to criminal court. What a pain.

I got a ticket for "drag racing" when I was 17 (10 years ago). It was a $100 fine and 3 points on my DL. I'm sure its a lot harsher now.

I spun out in my TA when I was 18 and hit a gaurd rail. Colorado ordered me to pay the 7,000 for it and suspended my license until I paid it off. No restricted, no nothing. And they threw my *** in jail for 5 days for careless driving. My company just paid off the last 4,000 for me last friday

Back about 10 years ago when I was still living in Western New York I was clocked doing 126 in a 45 (in my old '69 Nova that ran low 11's),.....I was racing a guy in an '85 Mustang GT 5.0 that had been talking **** for quite a few hours at one of our local hang-outs (said he was the fastest car in three counties), I told him I'd race him for $100 on a back-road that led out of town.....needless to say I WAS NOT expecting the cop to be parked in a pull-off area !!!, I won the race but the ticket was $450 and 40hrs of community service !!!, The only good thing about it was that the guy in the 5.0 was ticketed worse than I was.....HE was in the left lane and was written for reckless driving as well as the speeding ticket and community service, HIS tickets came to about $1100 !!!!

To my suprise (and to his credit) the guy actually did pay up on the $100 bet....it took him a month or so to come up with it but he did pay it
