I was under the truck when I asked this cause the question cause the instructions I had said to remove it. But I figured it out. Have to disconnect my axles today cause after unbolting the diff it did not drop far enough to remove the oil pan. But after that I can install the new pump and start putting it all back together. And im just picking up new oil pan and timing cover gaskets just to be safe

The oil pan gasket is held on by rivets, make sure to grind it off before installing the oil pan.

Just drill out the old rivets, you can either put the new gasket on with or without riveting the new gasket to the pan.

What determined the o-ring to use? Was it pick up tube, pump it self, or something else.
