Another hood question...

Another hood question...
Can the 99-02 HD Hood be bolted on to a 1500 non-HD truck? The fenders look the same, it just looks like the hood is taller. If anyone knows for sure plz reply. Thanks

Hey Scream..... Remember me.. I used to have the Dak with the 42" LED from Orlando. I used to hang around the Acro crew here... came up to NOPI in 2000.... I sold the TA and bought a 99 Z71. Heard your truck was at Norris Motorsports a while back... Mike is a good friend of mine.
Back to the hoods, any idea on a cost of one of these???

The black Dak that R.A.W. did? Man, it's been a while. Hope that you're doing well!
The HD hoods from the dealership are usually $350-400 I believe.
My truck was at Mike's shop a little over a year ago, when I put the 212/218 cam in the 4.8. I got a lot of compliments on the truck (even put down more HP than an LT1 'vette that was there
) but ask Mike if he remembers putting the truck up on the dyno only to find armodillo roadkill stuck to the crossmember, and burning off of the Y-pipe. It stunk to high heaven!

Yep, that was my Dak Anthony put the LED in.... it was a sick job!!! Still never seen another Dak like that...
Oh yeah.... a couple of my guys were up there that day from Lethally Injected... Camaros and Corvettes and the such. Mike told me all about the Armadillo.... lol
Thats good news bout the hood. Been wanting to do that mod ever since I thought of buying the Z71. Hopefully my bonus check will cover that.
BTW a bunch of our guys are going to be in Jax this weekend including myself at River City F-Bodies weekly meet... I believe they said it is in Sandcastle?? Anyway... the are directions on thier site if you all want to cruise out there and chill....

I think there will be one real soon... He just opened the new shop and has been looking to have a Grand Opening/Dyno Day sponsored by Lethally Injected. I was going to get in touch with Dave and invite the Orlando Acro guys and I'll be sure to drop you a line as well....
