Default Calling the 4x4 lift guys

Who makes a good quality lift kit? I'm thinking about a 4 inch lift. Right now I'm looking at either Skyjacker or Rough Country. BTW, this is for an 85 Chevy.

Heck for the 85' you allmost can't go wrong. The few things to look for is what comes in the kit. Is it blocks in the rear? Some kits if you don't mind paying like an extra 150 bucks will get you rebent or longer arc'd springs for the rear.

A lot of the guys here in AZ usually go to a suspension shop and just have their springs rearc'd for that added 3-4". And it costs about the same if not cheaper than a lift kit. Then all you should do is get a little longer shackles.

But I definitely agree with blue2k2. Get the longer pitman arm.

Hope this helps.

Laters.

Skyjacker is decent, Superlift makes a great suspension...dunno if they have anything for your truck though. You defenitely have a good canidate.....SFA chevy's rule!!! My only question is why such a small lift? Buddy of mine has a 86 K5 with 8 inch lift and 38's with ALOT of room to spare for 40's.......thing looks killer and its a beast in the mud. Sweet lookin trucks when lifted IMO.....get some pics when you get it lifted!
