So i take it the 2500 has a taller frame and that is why the hitch mount comes just short?

So i need to get one from a 1500 silverado only? will a suburban or tahoe 1/2 ton work as well?

 

Has to be from a Silverado or Sierra 1500. Suburban and Tahoe ones won't work.

 

Well i got the hitch to bolt up by loosening the bumper brackets and lifting them up. The bumper has to sit way to high to get it to bolt in. I guess i will put this in my "to do" pile and cut the plates down and reweld it to make it a hidden hitch.

There was already a cutout in my license plate for a hidden hitch to come through....just need a fold down license plate
