my grandfathers truck doesnt have the dic controls on the dash, hitting the trip butten accesses a few features, but nothing afm related. he has the aluminum(dont know if that matters) 5.3, with the 6 speed transmission. correct me if im wrong but i thought all but the 4.8 had dod? wheres the idiot light for when its in 4cyl mode?this is a 2011 model

I believe AFM only came on 5.3 and 6.0.

 

if its got designs in the valley cover then its got afm.if its the smooth valley cover then it doesn't have it

 

You can buy the dash piece with buttons from the dealer or online for around $80

 

Do yourself a favor and contact one of the sponsors and order the DOD delete. Tune it and be done. You will not regret it.
