My uncle has a 2001 2500 6.0l without AC and he has the opportunity to get a 2000 1500 5.3 parts truck for cheap. I was wondering if the ac components would swap over without too much hassle? I know I will need to take the dash out and I am sure the compressor and all will swap over fine, but I am sure not about the wiring. Does anyone know if the wiring is on a separate harness, because if not I would think that the wiring for the AC would already be there in the 2001.
