ABS Issues
#1
So I was out running errands and my ABS light kicked on, went to scan the code, and when I got out of the truck, could hear something running (electric motor of some sort). The code pulled was C 1242 Pump Motor Circuit Open. Crawled under the truck and sure enough the pump was stuck on, so I unplugged it. From everything I have been reading this is fairly common and I need to replace the BCM. Anyone know if there are any recalls or anything that may save me some money fixing this? Thanks!

Just so you know on these trucks, It's not the BCM It's the EBCM
BCM= Body Control Module- This is inside the cab
EBCM= Electronic Brake Control Module- This is connected to the ABS unit.
Just don't want you looking for the wrong replacement part.

yeah its a bad EBCM. Mine was doing similar things when it went out. You can send it to modulemaster and they can re-build it for $150.00 with a 5 year warranty. You just disconnect the EBCM which is located on top of the pump that is running and send it off. Or pick one out of a junk yard and chance it working.
EDIT: Was quoted $1100.00 for the dealership to fix it. I laughed and walked out.

I ended up giving that guy you sent me a link to a call. He sounded pretty good so I sent it out to him. Hopefully should have it back within the next week or so.

I learned me a lesson the hard way so I thought I would pass it on.
