Default 99-02 upper bumper gap

im looking at lifting my front bumper on my 02 chevy i cant stand the gap between the bumper cap and the lower grille shell has anyone on here done this to the 99-02 style any info would be awsome

TTT for you...sounds like it would be a free mod to me...maybe lift the bumper then put a chin spoiler on the bottom to make up for the empty space...if anyone's done it, pics would be nice

How much of a gap do you have?

My bumper was hung crooked after a paint job several years ago. I remember being able to loosen the mounts and adjust it. It leveled out very nicely and the gap closed up. Took me about 30 minutes to do. Here's a couple of pics with it parked next to our Yukon. You can see the Yukon has a much bigger gap than my Chevy truck. Not quite as noticeable since it's black though.

mines not bad but id like it to be up atleast to were yours is how hard was it to do

It was pretty easy. Loosen the bolts, lift, tighten bolts. If you have someone to help you line it up & hold it in place while you tighten the bolts, it's even easier.

The gap from the side of the fender to the side of the front bumper cover is less than 1/4 inch now.

Wow, that's tons better Roger, gonna have to give that a try when I get the chance, the gap on mine is bigger than the ****** of a NYC hooker

mine adjusts quite easily as well. as soon as i get the damn brackets replaced i'll redo mine as well
