They never said the bumper was bad, so that's one more thing they would have to buy.
No its different. The bumper pad is smaller and doesn't go out to the end.
yeah, that's what we've both already said & i amplified with pictures.
what i meant by 'same difference' is that regardless of 99-02 vs 03+ or even HD vs non-HD, the GMC pad curves up at the ends
The truck is back together with the HD grille. I’m going to trim my bumper pad for the time being and look for a nice 99-02 Sierra complete bumper to swap on.
My bumper wasn’t damaged in this little incident but it’s not perfect either. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings to swap it.

No, not the GMC pad nor bumper curves at the end above the bumper line that starts in the front. All the NBS GMC bumpers and pads are visually flat around the corner until the end of it at the wheel well, (whether or not there's enough pad to go to the end or not, and it ends with the bumper). Every NBS GMC bumper used will leave about a 2inch gap between the bumper and the Chevy fender between the parking light and the wheel well.
okay... now you've completely lost me, so i'm out
i've been talking about this area where the chevys are flat all the way across, so the plastic part won't swap due to the shape of the metal it attaches to

I think were saying the same thing in two different ways. I was more focused on the part right next to that at the end of the bumper, below the lowest part of the fender. Just wanted to make sure OP knew the GMC fenders are different and the GMC bumpers won't work with the chevy fenders.
You think that's supposed to contradict me? That looks like ****. That only confirms what I said.
Since there would be ZERO purpose for the OP to get a GMC bumper just to put a chevy cap on it since they have their chevy bumper on it already, lets stick to the black one. Even all blacked out like that, you can see how its stuffed in there with no gap, except the sides. Even their original chevy bumper would have the curves on the sides to fill up some of that gap.
