Alright back with a quick update, was unable to get the AC Duct but I did come home with a knee bolster and tomorrow I will come home with a cubby and rubber mat that goes with it. No ac duct means I have to really do some fabrication work which isn't killer but it is a little extra elbow grease.
This is how the knee bolster looks in the truck and yes I know it is a little dirty in there. The gap that is there is inexplicable unless the newer trucks shifted their dash over a little bit in the frame then I don't understand how it is not touching the console but that also could be a biproduct of me not having the main bracket in so Anyways just wanna shout out the mad lad himself adriver for convincing me to buy this piece to fix my gap where now I have 2 gaps!!! All in good fun though hopefully soon I will really finish the project, it was a little rainy this week so that is why I am a bit behind in the work process.
What happens when you pull the console to the dash and tighten the two slotted 10mm bolts? Does it drop down and not hold... or somethings holding the console from butting against the dash? Those console legs are super flimsy and should flex allowing enough movement to to fill the gap. I nailed it first try, can't understand why you're having issues.

No no I think you misunderstood, I haven’t put the bracket in yet, it has been raining and I do all the work outside so I haven’t had a good day to pull the seats and console out again sorry for the confusion this was just a picture of the knee bolster
Travis just installed an 03+ console in his 99 Sierra. It shows the bracket and the two 10mm bolts that fastens the console to the dash. This should make everything clear.

Okay guys so I finally redid the center console, I only have to reinstall everything but this is the air duct in all its glory!...? It is crafted extremely scientifically with yard sign walls and duct tape finally wrapped in a layer of HVAC tape. Chip Foose actually called me and told me he's coming to help and he signed it Chip Foose!?!?!? This attaches to the console portion Added some foam to help the insulation in the connection Looking through This attaches to the dash portion The bracket in the dash
I got the bracket in the dash as well, I drilled two holes and both holes were misses and they were barely off, I need to work on my aim. So I snipped out the guide pin on the left side and dremeled it down so that there was nothing that could be in the way and bolted it all up. Tonight I should be putting everything back in the truck and finishing the entire project. I still have to set my usb outlets that I bought up but that shouldn't take too long.
