Yes sir it's the "Light Truck Megashifter" part number 80680. I replaced the B&M T handle with a Hurst T handle to match the cool looking domed decals I put on the wheels center caps (psst don't tell anyone)

Okay figured out how the bracket works I had it backwards d’oh! But I still don’t see where the bracket can be mounted to the dash... Maybe I am missing something because I don’t have the console all the way out but I can’t see anywhere I can bolt it in and it seems I have metal pieces in the way of anywhere I could bolt it

I just am not sure where to attach the console bracket at, I have seen a video about the 03-06 guys just slot it in to two holes at the top but for you and I I have no clue how the bracket mates to the dash. Now I am tempted to pull it apart after work and get to working even though I’m going to pull it apart again to do my ac later grrrr Me caveman me no understand

I did mine last year and since I'm in my 60's I have an excuse for not remembering every detail. Now I'm not completely senile like hair sniffing Sleepy Joe Biden but IIRC I may have had to drill a couple holes for the bracket. You'll probably have to get the console out of the way to get in there. You said you had some duct work to do for the a/c... if so you may want to wait and take care of both issues at the same time.

Here is the exploded view of the dash & bracket (PART# 54)
GM calls it "Bracket Seat Separator Console"

as for the bezel swap, Since the 99-02 has a mechanical AC controls and the 03-06 has digital the bezel won't look 'perfect'. It will cut off the wording, but functionally it will fit. You can not swap the controls. The best thing to do is to just get an aftermarket double din bezel for a 99-02. Metra and Scosche both make them. I know they are both on Amazon and both about $150, you will need to paint it. If you search you should be able to find it (not sure if its on the Silverado or Tahoe site).

Amazon Amazon

Amazon Amazon

Heres a quick couple, you might be able to find the right color, and there are more versions than just these two.

the only reason I was going to do a bezel swap was to cover the gap, I don’t like double dins...

Personally I am only a fan of the single din small stereos. I don’t like anything with a screen that is not from factory but that’s just me
