That lower gap on the center console? As in you just need to mount that right, and not worry about the bezel?

One way to get rid of the gap is by installing the other bezel but yes it is the gap on the center console. When I install that bracket it should not be there anymore

no. the newer bezel won't get rid of that gap. its a completely separate thing. if that was the point, then forget about the bezel.

It will though... This is the newer bezel with the console it will cover up the gap and is not a completely separate thing, had I not deleted my bookmarks I would have better photos to show you on how the bezel actually does work well with covering the gap but I don't. The bezel is lower towards the center console in comparison to the older one just btw I can show definite proof of that if I need to with people being unable to use their cig lighters and ash tray in the older trucks with the newer bezel because of blockage

Also @RedXray this guy in the video I took a screenshot of used the bracket to mount the console and his still had a big gap, wondering if he didn't bring the console up high enough though...? But I do understand how to drill the hole now though so I definitely appreciate your input man thank you!!
There is the link if you care to take a gander

I'm not going through a 24 minute video to try to prove myself wrong. If you've got it fixed, great. If you don't you should read up on the double din swap and the compatibility problems. The lower dash /knee bolster is different. The bezel is not the part you need to change.

What? How would changing the knee bolster even help the gap? That video that I posted was also not meant for you and is a completely unrelated to the dash bezel by the way. Compatibility problems with what? I'm not saying you are incorrect and I am not trying to be an *** but I would like to know why the dash bezel will not cover up the gap even though it is lower than the 99-02 one? I also know that the lower dash/knee bolster is different and already fixed that but that does not cause a gap on top of a console lol

Yeah looks like he didn't pull the console up to the dash or he ran out of slot (bust out the dremel if needed). Mine was good just pulled it tight and it filled the gap. Yeah man you're welcome and nice find on the video. Seeing it, I'm sure made things more clear than my convoluted explanation... I did remember drilling a hole and seeing the vid brought it back to my old aged scrambled brain.
