I've got right at a year left to pay on the Sierra. Deep down I want something faster, but I really love my truck. I'm going to go a little milder on this build than I originally planned and keep it fun to drive, and maybe once it's paid for I'll pick up a used F or Y body. Who knows.

These are exactly my thoughts. Maybe one day I will pick up a used fbody at the right price.

I'm not trying to keep up with the "Jones'", or anybody else for that matter. I love my truck, and don't plan on getting rid of it just to get a newer model. A couple of months ago I sold the 6.0L that I had planned on swapping in with the plan of maybe getting a Silverado SS (I love them trucks), but I just couldn't see getting rid of mine plus about another $10k-$12k just to get an SS. I like not having a car/truck payment, that's why I bought a used truck (bought it in 2002) in the first place. I already have a '57 Chevy (for a toy) and really don't want to go too extreme with my daily driver. I'd also like to get a C5 Vette, but with kids futures to look out for (private high school and college) I really should just be grateful for what I've got.

I plan on keeping my truck for a long time, I'm the original owner and have very low miles (just about to hit 42k). Just gonna keep modding it, maybe someday it won't be my daily driver and I'll upgrade my mild setup to a 6.0 or something nutz, or it'll become more of a work truck and I'll upgrade to a 6.0 or something nutz. Either way, I plan on driving it until the wheels fall off.

I really like the styling of it too, I would like to see Chevy revert back to something like the 99-02's personally.

Mines paid off with 35,000 miles. Probably wont get rid of it for 7-8 years. Of course, mine is not a performance vehicle though. Mine is just my daily driver. Will have the C5 late this summer.

The silvy will be paid off in a few months and with the amount of work I have already put into it, I can't see getting rid of it anytime soon so I will probablly continue to mod it. Although I will probablly need a new vehicle in a few years to accomadate a family. I love my current truck but my ideal setup would be to have a mildly modded SSS/Tahoe/Yukon for my DD and a worked over 98-02 M6 Camaro for my play car.

Sounds like nobody likes new vehicle payments.
