Default 6l swap wont start

Swapped in a 6.0 into my truck yesterday to replace a hydrolocked 5.3. Swap was not to bad till I put a new tune on it and went to start it and it turned over and smelled like gas after a time or two trying to get it to start. I have tryied tunes from my 5.3 to modified ones for the 6.0 and they all ended the same way just lots of gas. When logging it trying to crank it was cammanding 4:1 afr and map is pegged at 102 kpa. unplugged map and it drops to 10 but still just smells of fuel. Even pulled a map from another motor and readings where the same. Any new ideas would be great.

Have you checked the rest of your sensors? What about the grounds that go to the block (there are a few)??? What all have you tried, aside from the MAP?

Also, have you tried disabling VATs?

Yea got all like 4 grounds hooked back up the main one on the driver side front and two on the back and the one braided ground on the back. That's all right? All the other sensors show up in evi live. Also how long should it take to get oil to the top of the motor. Turned it over maybe 5 times and heads where not covered in oil like I thought they would be.

when I did mine it turned out to be stuck/clogged injectors. Had pcm vin recoded vats turned off still nothing. Then traced down to the injectors.

A 6 liter will run off a stock 5.3 tune. Just saw it is cammed. Depending on the cam size it may be rough until you get it tuned.

Well im running the injectors from my 5.3 cause there 8.1 injectors. Not sure about vats or not laptop is in my truck at the shop. But just a motor swap shouldn't mess with that should it? But if its not building oil pressure would that keep it from starting? Some kind of gm safety?

No, the oil pump is purely mechanical.

Is it getting spark? If it doesnt start after a few times, put the pedal to the floor and crank it over for a few seconds, this a "flood clear" and disables the fuel injectors and hopefully clears the engine of fuel so its not overly rich.
