Default 6.0L it is.

The Mahle's I wanted for the 346 are discontinued so the only off the shelf piston I could find for the options I have are a Diamond for my 6.0 block. I don't want to wait on, nor pay the extra $ for some customs, and it just so happens that Thunder racing had the particular piston on sale for $489 (normally $599). It has a 13.7 cc dish that should put me at 8.9:1 with some 317's. I have LQ9 rods and will be balanced of course with ARP rod bolts. Just thought I'd keep you guys posted.

What pulley are you going to run? Any plans to do some injector upgrades? They were about maxed out with the itty bitty motor.

are you keeping the radix? if you are that's awfully low compression. good point on the injectors gomer. all trucks 04' and newer running a 6.0L using a radix and a pulley smaller than 3.0 will need more injector. you're going to want around 50lb injectors in there. they are good even with a cam and a 2.75 pulley.

He will be running the 2.75 from what he told me. I told him to run the 346 and keep searching for pistons but he wouldnt listen

IMO the 6L will be stretching the radix out with the low a CR but Im no expert by any means but it will definately net alot more power. The injector swap is going to be expensive. Could you just turn the meth up a bit to raise the octane level a bit to help out with the lack of injector? I realize it is a patch for the problem but owuld that work?

that may do it. with the low boost level of the radix i'd stay at around 10.0:1 compression or so.

I plan on getting a Magnavolt fuel pump booster. It will give me 17 V above 3500 and 3 psi. Maybe that will be enough. And on the compression, I will be running low comp and lots of timing, Blownchevy with his new 6.0 will be running 11.0, race gas and less timing probably. We will just see which one is better. I'm sure I will end up with some race gas in it before it is all over. Maybe a 75 shot??? we will see.

Gomer, what do you think about the Magnavolt being limited to only 3500. With my torque curve I wonder if that will be enough? I think the KB Boost a pumps are adjustable. Maybe that would be the better way to go.

I run the MSD boost a pump on the FI stuff I do. It doesn't care about RPM.. just PSI
