want to know if a lt1 cam and heads will fit a 5.7 vortec 98 pick up!!!!

 

Don't think it will, Lt1's dont have a cam gear for a regular dist. since they have the opti-spark dist. different bolt pattern on the heads as well I believe.

 

Heads, no, water passages are different. Cam yes. Gear is still on the rear of the cam, it drives the oil pump. Some use the LT1 cam in TBI 305/350 where there is more of a gain to be had, but you may not realize much of a gain over your stock vortec cam.
