Fords got a winner with their new 5.0 we've had a few of them come through the shop all of them oilfield trucks with 80-100 thousand on them and all hard oilfield miles and have been beat to hell and back and still sound nice and quiet and run like scalded apes. Trucks we've had through didn't have a straight panel on them and trashed in all sense of the word.

My bet is on the ford this time. 5.3 can barely pull it's own weight especially with a 6 speed and no gears.
