i read about other trucks out there and there kills so i wanted to post my frist one its not my first kill just my 1st post i just got back from racing a 92 5.0 mustang owner said his car was a 13.5 sec car anyway he had been wanting to join are club so of course it had to race someone from the club and well since he was talkin i stepped i am the proud owner of a 2001 gmc 5.3 and if that mustang is a 13.5 sec car my tuck should run 12.00 flat cause i smoked him big time were talking about4 trucks and going till i let go anyways my truck is no 12.00 sec but on engine its a healthy 13.9 14.02 sec truck on street tires.. anyways just wanted to post something.... lol

the mods to my 5.3 include a k&n air intake bbk thorttle body pacesetter headers msd wires pcm tune by pcm for less z06 cam traction bars to grip lol only if could... a 100 shot of nos that i havent tired cause i cant hook oh and stall... e fans and a trans cooler cause the 01 dont come with one... thats all i have and my best time when i 1st got my truck was 13.9 but now smoking 1st and 2nd its 14.1 14.2.... which is ok i guess for a truck....

you ran a 13.9 when you first got the truck?... was it stock when u first got it, or is that after the mods?

 

You wouldn't come close to touching my 92 5.0.

 

when i frist got my truck back with the mods and for you 5.0 guy who cares its a mustang i dont know what your doing owning a ford when your in the ls1 tech. i would never buy a ford.....
