4.8 at S.A.R
#1
Results from last nite at San antonio raceway.
2.33 60FT
10.05 1/8
15.72 1/4
85.02 mph New best!
What would Lt headers do for me in the quarter?, (and possibly a cam later.)
Let me kno what yall have in mind for picking a cam for the 4.8.
Thanks.

With just intake, headers, and exhaust, and wheatley dual tune, my ext cab 4.8L went 14.6 spinning with 3.42 gears and open diff. There is more left in it.

I can only speak for 1/8th times, but"
with headers, CAI, 3.42s, open diff, and tune I ran 9.8
with a 4.10s, shift kit servos i ran 9.4
with a 220 cam I ran about the same due to lack of verter
with my verter I ran 8.7s
with my new cam i ran 8.5s

Ive talked to a few guys and they told me a 220 cam is to much for a 4.8, how do you like it? any exhaust clips?
#6
Well i don't know who your talking too, but I am currently running a 222/224! Hmm do a search under my name there are several exhaust clips with my old cam and new... I keep up with most of the cammed 5.3s at the track around here...

I ran a similar time with my bro's truck down at EIRT this wednesday. He's got an '00 4.8L RCSB with a magnaflow muffler and Tiburon custom tune. Even though it pulls hard from a roll, it wont launch for **** which makes for crappy 1/4 times.
Best time was 15.7@92mph with a 2.55 60ft <---- Didnt spin at all with 3.42's and stock height tires.
