I’m about to undergo a complete motor swap, the vehicle I am buying is an 03 singlecab 1500 with a 4.3, and I’m going to Install the 5.3 from my 05 suburban, both are 2wd, I will no longer need the 4.3L components if anybody is interested; also, if anybody has any pointers, it would greatly be appreciated!

V6 4x4 swap to 5.3 4x4
Alright so I have a 99 Silverado 4x4 v6 and I want to swap a 5.3 do i need a 5.3 4x4 motor mounts and a 4l60e 4x4? I just want to know if the swap won’t be difficult

i just did this type of swap (sort of) I went 05 V6 4.3 Truck to a 99 V8. Read my swap post on here. I tried to document and detail as much as possible. I should answer 99% of your questions.

this also has a lot of good info.
Swb4x4: yeah, make sure to get 4x4 half-ton mounts. trans/t-case should be the same.
