You can do a notch yourself. Its not hard at all. I bought Belltechs wrap around notch ($350-the best bolt on tho) and the instructions are very good. Anyone with a little common sense and mechanical inclination could do it.
Like said about, I'd do a notch even with a 4" in the rear. There is about less than 2" between the frame and axle on a 4" drop, I assume 6" drop would be way worse.
Also, for shocks I'd go with street performance shocks from stylintrucks.

i have a 3.5/6, ith drop coils up front, flip kit in the back, of course im notched, run my stocks still up front, wanting to get some monroes., rear has some monroe 37078s, love my monroes, get them for sure. as someone else stated 37072s for the front, 37078 for the rear.
